The legend of Old Bastard

The place

Giggleswick, Yorkshire. Its people were such lovers of Beer that they ordered its name to be written with a capital letter and passed a Law to punish those who spilled it with the catapult.

The man

Lord Bastard. Giggleswick's star Beer maker. The social favourite. The King among commoners.

The enemy

King McNagger. Envious. With more love for himself than for what was important: Beer.

The legend

The story goes that King McNagger, blinded by the attention that Lord Bastard received from the neighbours, decided to conspire against him and ordered to attack the ships that brought the ingredients with which he made his Beer.

Lord Bastard, upon finding out what had happened, went to the King and informed him that nothing would prevent him from making his Beer and that that same day he would set out on an expedition to find the ingredients with which to continue making Giggleswick’s best Beer.

Thus, Lord Bastard began a long journey in which he discovered flavours and landscapes that inspired him to create new Beers to enjoy with his neighbours and taught the King that the most important thing is to be able to get together with your loved ones, sit at a table, and share laughter and Beer.

The Mango Passion Fruit

On one of his first adventures, Lord Bastard got lost without neither food nor water in the Amazon Rainforest. Fortunately, he came across a tree whose fruits were shining in the sun as if they were made of gold. Tasting one, he discovered a complex explosion of cooling tropical flavours, sour and bitter. Lord Bastard took a cutting from the tree and, when he arrived at Giggleswick, brought it to the King as a peace offering. Together they created an amazing new Beer.

The Belgian Blonde

After months of selecting the best ingredients from Patagonia to the Midwest, Lord Bastard sat to meditate under the shade of a fig tree. There he began a new journey, this time inwards, in which he found the notes of nostalgia flavoured with bread and honey that inspired him to create a new drink. A lager Beer with citrus and spiced touches, perfect for those who want to discover what the reinterpreted tradition tastes like.
